NPC Nationals

What a weekend, I'm still recovering! I'm so glad I decided to go to Atlanta. Once again, thanks to Paul and Steve of Champion Nutrition for giving me the opportunity to work for them. I had a blast. I met Jennifer Abrams at the airport as planned. It was nice having a travel buddy. Our conversations about competing, training and just life in general made the flight go really fast. It seemed after that, the next 36 hours were a whirlwind. The competition was brutal, congratulations to the newest lightweight pro my friend Carla Salotti. How exciting and fun that I'll get to compete with some of my closest FBB friends next year.....Colette, Vicki, and now Carla! We got lots of good pictures, some of which I'll post here soon, so check back.

Weekend Pictures

Chicago Health, Fitness & Nutrition Expo

I spent this past weekend at the Chicago HF&N expo working for Champion Nutrition. First of all, a special thanks to Steve Ward and Champion for giving me the opportunity to represent them. Maybe some of you local fans might of heard my "plug" on 99.9 FM (my booth neighbors) Saturday afternoon. I got a bit shy and turned down a on air interview, but Champion Nutrition was recognized for the prize donation I provided and then they followed up mentioning me as the Champion rep, pro bodybuilder along with my website information. All in all, the expo was a bit slow, and smaller than I expected. It has future potential and I think Chicago is a wonderful location with lots to do for those who travel in for it. Even I enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt, especially given the view of the city and Lake Michigan from the 27th floor. Considering I travel down and deal with Chicago traffic every day through the week, I don't really appreciate the city, the views and what it has to offer. It was a nice weekend get away!
I did have the opportunity to meet some wonderful new friends. Special thanks to Vince Taylor, who kept me company, gave me advice and shed some light on my career as a pro. I'm glad I surprised you once the five inch heels came off!! ;) I'll be expecting a phone call if your in Atlanta next week!!! My back-up man and good friend of Steve, Al Jakich. What a pleasure it was working with you. Thank you for introducing me to your good friend Sergio Oliva. After learning a bit about him and his accomplishments, what a honor to have met him! I can't wait to see some of the candid shots you took. I'll be following up with you for the lunch you promised!! Bob Bartkowiak, thank you for your help as well, keep in touch and please keep me posted on future convention work. Joby, my new 11 year old friend and bodybuilder in the making. You are a natural! Keep up the good work, your off to a terrific start!!

Next week, Atlanta - NPC Nationals!
